Network Marketers; Overcome Frustration Now |

You make up one morning and you feel like crap. You spent last night, after work, writing articles and posting videos and doing all the steps the Online Guru’s have said will make you money. And what do you have to show for it. Your online business will succeed but it is the timeline that is off. Those individuals have had months or years to perfect their strategy and you have given it exactly 21 days. You are tired, depressed and feel like a failure. Welcome to Level 3 of the transition from Professional to Network Marketer: Frustration. Level 1 is euphoria and excitement about the new opportunity, Level 2 is realization of the amount of work to get started, now Level 3 frustrations. Here are 3 steps that will help you turn frustration into action.

You need to identify the obstacle that is diverting your or keep you from success. It is great that you have stepped outside of yourself and identified that you are wasting time. Now look at the cause of the problem. It will most likely be frustration because of lack of progress in your online business. We have all read the ads about the person who made $30,000 in three days with this or that system. You told you that he or she needed six months prior of training and set-up and a lot of hard work to get that $30,000 in three days. You can’t expect your success to be quicker than what your training and education require. If you have never been in MLM or network marketing you need to give yourself time to learn what you don’t know. And you will see that you don’t know a lot. You can expect to be training and studying for the next couple of years. OK, you have acknowledged that you are frustrated with your progress and your work; now what?

Remember your BIG WHY! Why are you going through this transition? You have a nice 9 to 5 JOB that requires you to be at work at 7:30 to 8:00am in the morning and stay after 5:00pm to complete your work. Why would you give up a secure paycheck from a company that laid-off 150 people last month? Why would you ever think of leaving a JOB that has not promoted you or given you a raise for the last two years? That is why you are going through this process. You BIG WHY is: spending more time with your family, going on vacations like Hawaii or Europe, helping out family members, paying for your kids college and not having to work 60 to 70 hours a week unless you like that. You want it to be your choice. Refocus on your BIG WHY!
With that focus you work on implementation. Go back to basics. What were the first initial steps that you did to start the business and review those steps? Make this the start of your implementation plan or action plan. Not a To Do List but an action plan. This is a plan that you must and commit to do everyday. You reaffirm in your mind that you will do these steps and they will lead to your new future. Timeblock on your schedule time needed to complete each action item. This is your focus during your timeblock events. Nothing distracts you from it. By focusing on your action plan you will complete the require tasks that will move you forward. Your action plan should be in-line with your goals but that is for another time.
It is a good idea to stop every a week or so but no more than a month and reassess your goals and your progress. Celebrate every little victory; which in the start of your business is a lot. Your first blog post, your first video, your first lead, your first call to your lead, your first hang, etc.. There are lots of them and celebrate each one because it is your growth. We all too often pass over our accomplishments and focus on what we haven’t done. Keep moving forward with your head.
