After working in corporate American for all of your adult life you have decided to make the move from your JOB to network marketing. You will find it harder to do than you think. In fact it maybe be easier if you were fired from your job than trying to leave it. Because as long as you have your job, it feels secure so you will keep one hand on that line (AKA lifeline). Someone who lost his or her job, though unfortunate, now has nothing to hold on to. They can devote 40, 60 or 80 hours a week to their new pursuit. So while you may feel better having a job it will hold you back. I know this because I did the same thing. Once you make the decision, focus on the task so you can move beyond your job. If you work hard, are dedicated and focused, can eliminate distraction and willing to share your experiences and opportunity you will be successful.
- You need to prepare to work hard during the transition. You will be building a business while you are trying to stay productive in your current job. The harder you work the shorter the transition will be from your job to your network marketing business. Harder translates into more hours. Whether it is after work for a few hours each day or the whole weekend, you need to dedicate hours, minimum of 15 hours a week to get it going. You are going to trade time for money. Also the more freedom you have with the hours of your job the better. Let’s face it; some tasks have to be done during the daylight hours. You may need to stop working one job so you can complete a task for your network marketing business. This also depends on the market strategy you employ. If you have dollars for marketing and can afford pay-per-click then you may reduce your hours a little, but if you don’t have money for marketing then you will need to use one of the low-cost approaches.
- You will need to get serious and dedicate time and space to this endeavor. Create a separate space for your home office. This should not be in the family or anywhere near any distractions. You have limited hours and they must be focused on the tasks that will move your business forward. A great time management ….. Click to continue.
