I was calling my network marketing leads the other day when a friend of mine came to me with a problem. He was not sleeping very well at night. He was listless. He would have short bursts of energy and then settle back into a depressed defunct. He worked a full time job in addition to his network marketing business but he was always broke. After listening to him for several minutes, I knew what the problem was – he has….. Green Grass Syndrome. - Check their closets. Do they have more than 15 programs on the closet shelf? Some are not even opened. - Why does it happen? It frequently happens when you get a new person joining network marketing believing the hype that says you get the life you deserve with working more than a few hours a week. Only to find that it takes hard work to do the training and establish yourself in this business. They buy the next program and get excited again only to become discouraged and depressed; only to find the next program that promises the next big thing – an d on it goes.
- The person needs an intervention. Some they trust or a loved one must step in to stop the madness that is driving them crazy and to the poor house. The intervention should take place away from their computer and debit cards. Programs that have seen the most success have applied the “One Step At A Time” Program. A mentor is assigned to them to help guide them through the highs and lows of network marketing. Someone who will make training available to them so they can learn what other Top Earners are doing and model that behavior. The mentor can provide a safe place for the recovering patient can ask questions and get in depth training on Facebook, blogging, & Google Adwords to name just a few market strategies.
The recovering marketer will have a new confidence and better outlook on life. They are focused on one system and they have a vision and goal for their future. From their goal they have worked backwards to establish objectives and daily tasks that must be done to reach their goals.
