Learn to Track Your Marketing Campaign for Better Traffic and Lead Generation

If I asked you right now how many clicks your solo-ad gets, could you tell me?  How many people visit your site (traffic generation) and opt-in to your service or list (lead generation)?  Which headline converted the best(Sales)? If you can’t, then you are wasting your time and money. How well your ads and articles are doing in your traffic and leads generation should be the focus for your home-based MLM business.  You must always be testing, tracking, and recording to see which combination of headlines, capture page and sales letter convert the best.

Test your marketing.  Testing your ads or articles is the key to increasing conversions and sales.  Your marketing campaign consists of everything a lead will see.  The headlines in the Pay-Per-Click or Solo-ad, the capture page, the autoresponder and the direct sales letter or video are all different parts of your marketing campaign.  You want to test all aspects of it and tweak it to improve the lead’s responds.  Split testing is one way to test your marketing.

Split testing is where you create two separate campaigns that have one item that is different.  It might be the headline is different between them.  You want everything else the same so you can see which headline worked.  If you change too many aspects of the campaign you will not be able to see which element converted your leads into sales or subscribers best.  Little changes affect a campaign.  How you track these changes is through the URLs that leads click.  You will need to track those clicks through unique links in the ads and other marketing.

Unique links and tracking code are a way to track when leads click on your ads.  If you are using Google Adwords they will provide a wealth tracking information for your use.  If you are using article marketing or solo-ads you will need to use tracking codes.  There are many tracking services both free and paid.  Just type in “URL tracking service” and you will have many choices. These services will track URL and website stats so you can improve your marketing.  It all comes down to record keeping.

Keep good records of what you do.  You are a scientist doing an experiment.  You must keep track of everything.  Every change you do to your campaigns and the results from that change.  Keep a log of each change.  This log will be gold to you.  Start small in your campaigns as you are testing and record ad types, placement, capture page and sales letter/video.  Record your changes whether they are changing the headlines, color on your capture page, text or video for the sales letter or if you offer a free bonus.  All these parameters go into what you lead will see and respond to.  Test and recording will allow you to see what works and what doesn’t work.

What ads and campaigns work keep and continue to change and tweak to improve the respond.  Those that don’t work eliminate.  It’s like one big sports tournament.  The winner will continue on while you cut campaigns and ads that don’t.  The ultimate result is which campaigns bring you profit and which don’t.  If you have ad campaigns running, don’t try to convert everything.  Start with one campaign.  Create a system for tracking and record keeping.  It helps if your Home-based MLM Company provides some support but that is not necessary.  The first step is writing you’re your campaign and tracking results.  This information will bring in more leads and ultimately more profit.
