As a network marketer you spend a large chunk of change on marketing. Squidoo is a no cost way to market yourself and your opportunity. I knew nothing of Squidoo until a couple of months ago. But I got training on it and how it can help your marketing business. It costs nothing and it is one more way to market You, Inc to the world. Lets start with what is Squidoo.
Squidoo is a content sharing site that you can use to share any type of content pictures, articles, blog post, video, etc. The search engines like Squidoo lens because of the variety of content on them. They pull content from Squiddo lens and display them as search results. You can set-up a variety of lens on any topic you like.
That is why is so good to use. You can create a lens about yourself. You can publish a personal Bio and pictures or videos. Tell about yourself and what you do and why you do it. It is always a good idea when you are branding yourself. You can also create a lens for network marketers and publish information to help them with their marketing. Then provide links back to your landing pages. Your leads can get a very clear picture of who you are and what you have to offer them. You are showing them what they can create with Squidoo and how you can help them. How should you use it? Start with a lens about yourself.
Create you first lens and fill out your profile completely, including a picture of yourself. If you haven’t by now you should have a profile word document, because all the social networking sites have the same information and you want to be consistent.
You display information on Squidoo with modules. You want to provide a mix of information on your site. Start with a text module where you can talk about yourself a little more may be focus on a hobby or something outside of work you like to do. You add pictures to these modules to make it more personal. You can also add video module from your YouTube channel about your opportunity. Squidoo will have the most popular lens displayed when you first create the lens. You can delete these if you do not need them.
You can add a module t show links to your websites, your blog , your network marketing opportunity to name a few. You can increase you search engine results by getting backlinks from other lens. Visit other lens and leave a comment and a link to your own lens. Do not just leave a comment for the backlink. This is a social network and developing relationships is the name of the game. So take a little time to get to know other Lens Masters and the content they have and let them know what you learned or how it was helpful.
Even if you have used up your monthly marketing budget you can use Squiddo to expand your presence on the Internet. It costs nothing to use and the search engines love them. Create interesting lens that will attract other people to look and leave a comment. The watchword is good content. Spend a few minutes each day looking at lenses and leaving comments so others will go and look at your lens. Don’t abuse this part. Only leave a comment if you have something interesting to say. Treat their lens as if it was your own.
