
- As marketers and entrepreneurs we are looking for results that will lead to profits. But you may have found that this can also lead to disjointed action and inconsistent results because we are not focusing on what is important or jump around to the next big marketing idea. We need to step back and look at what we do each day, week, & month. Simplify our tasks until we get the desired results. Here are three steps or tasks that can help you focus your day and ultimate increase our lead generation and more profits. After all, that is why we joined the network marketing.
- Pick one marketing method and stick with it. You have heard people say in network marketing that it is a marathon not a sprint and that is true. Do not expect results overnight. Does that happen, yes success can happen overnight, but it is more likely the results of consistent, persistent action. So if you are doing one form of marketing do not abandon it after a few weeks because you are not get the results you wish for. Track the results and tweak your message to see if you can get a better response. Check your copy that it is stating your benefits of your business opportunity not the features. Maybe rewrite the headline with the same copy. Marketing is a game of inches. Little adjustments to get the results you desire. It is also about repetition. That is why advertisers spend millions of dollars to show their commercials over and over again. They want to be in front of you when you are ready to buy.
- The first 2 hours of your day should be spent on revenue generating activities. Start your day off right by eliminating distractions. Look at your day and see how many hours a week do you waste looking at emails that are not from leads. How many hours talking on the phone with people other than leads. You can’t grow your business without leads and converting them to buyers or reps. So dedicate the first two hours of your day on activities like marketing, copywriting, article writing, or videos that will bring in leads and eventually lead to sales. Do not even open your email program that way you will not be distracted by the chimes. That also includes your cell phone and the text messages. Set a timer to work two hours straight then you can answer all your emails and return calls. Timeblocking your day can be a great time management tool.
- Track everything in a business journal. You would be surprised at what you do during the week and what you miss. Your Network Marketing Business is about action and results and tracking those results will help you refine your marketing campaigns. What you do in business everyday is equally important. By writing down what you did at the end of each day you can go back at the end of the week and see what you did and start to analyze why you did or didn’t get the results you desired. Establish goals and track the progress of those goals each week. Keeping the goals in front of you at all times will help you reach them. If you have someone who is holding you accountable, which you should, let him or her review your week and give his or her comments. To paraphrase Albert Einstein who said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. You must do something different.
Focus your day and your actions to change your results. Pick a marketing strategy and stick with it, dedicate the first two hours of your day to revenue generating activities, and track your tasks each day so you can review and adjust for the next week. This will tweak your actions and change what you do so you will get different results.
