You can, over time, attract people to your website and your opportunity. Here are 10 tips to keep in mind when you are writing your articles.
- Know your reader: Know whom you are writing for and why. This will make it easier to connect with them. What are their problems and how will your article help solve it.
- Research your topic: Research and know the topic you are going to write about. You are not much of a leader if you don’t know your subject more than skin deep.
- Research Money keywords: While research your topic look for keywords that people are searching for. Use keyword search tools (Google, Wordtracker) to see how many searches per month are done each keyword in your article. Check the number of pages for that keyword. You want high search levels and low webpages (competition). Shot for no more than 500,000 webpages in a search.
- Use the keywords in the title and body: Make sure you use keyword not only in the body of the article but in the title and description of the article. These elements are all separate parts of your article and looked at differently b the search engines.
- Use keywords in the right density (3 to 5%): Keep the use of your keywords in the 3 to 5% range. Any more than 5% and that keyword will hurt your article ranking.
- Use the will tell, tell and told format: You learned it in elementary school and it still holds today. Tell the reader what you are going to tell them; tell them; and then tell them what you told them. In case you forgot; your opening paragraph should highlight the points in your article; the main body of the article describes those main points and your closing paragraph summarizes your main points.
- Have 3 to 5 main points: Develop 3 to 5 points you want to make in the article. This will form the main paragraphs of the article. Also keep your paragraph short – 2 to 5 lines each.
- Grab your reader in the opening paragraph: Work on your opening paragraph after the main body of the article. You have a limited amount of time get the readers attention before they click away. You need to grab them and pull them into your article.
- Have an engaging title: You title is the bait for the read. What will draw them in to read an article in a list of 10 to 15 other articles? Creating curiosity is a great way. Controversy is another way to draw your reader in.
- Your resource box should create curiosity: You write article to market yourself or a product. Your resource box is where the payoff can happen. This is the place article directories allow you to sell your wares. You want the reader to be curious and interested in more information. Write your resource box as if it is part of the article. This will get it read more often and more clicks to your MLM website.
